Secrets are hegemony.
The history of espionage extends to the
beginning of civilization. There has always been found
givers and takers of secret military, economic or political
information. A single spy or technical device used in
espionage could have influenced on the formation of the
world even more than governments of history. Therefore it
was important to build a museum for the presentation of this
phenomenon.
Because of Finland's geo-political position between east and
west our country has always been very active area of
international espionage. For these reasons the first spy
museum of the world was opened for public in Tampere in 1998. |
